Samwise the Brave

My little unsung hero Out of all the hobbits, he's probably my most favoritest of them all. He plays such an important part in the series and yet somehow he can be overlooked quite easily. Poor Samwise! Played by the fantastic Sean Astin.. he really brought Samwise Gamgee to life!

Have I mentioned how much I love his hair?

Mechanical pencil on illustration sketchbook paper. The paper is rather thin, and it's sometimes hard to make the markings dark, so it took quite a bit to make them stand out. And YES, the page separation is there and I'm not going to edit it out. That makes it more meaningful to me, that he is strong enough a figure to cover both pages. I love him all the more for it! It was great practice for expanding my horizons and breaking that boundary that says drawings should be kept on just one page. No more will I do that, that's for sure!
